Welcome to the Parent/Teacher Association Homepage!
The TMA/TR PTA is comprised of a group of dedicated parents and teachers who work to align the efforts of the school to connect and directly benefit the student body. The PTA works with Administration and Teachers in fundraising, social and community efforts, and direct enrichment and extension of the Montessori classroom and community.
For years, our PTA has held events to raise funds for different objectives at TMA/TR. The three main objectives we work towards are:
1. The American Montessori Society Conference Fund, which helps send our teachers to the annual AMS Conferences in the spring semester. This is an opportunity for teachers to meet and learn the latest advancements in Montessori practices and theory, along with the chance to bring back lessons and expansions to our very own classrooms, which directly benefits the students and the learning environment at TMA/TR.
2. To organize activities to foster and increase school spirit (go TMA Tigers!) and give parents and students the opportunity to mingle outside a school setting, in a fun environment. Some of the activities done recently are Trunk or Treat during Halloween; PTA Skate nights on different times during the year, and the Valentine’s Day Dance.
3. To beautify and enhance areas of our campus. Since TMA/TR is a private Montessori school, funded wholly by tuition dollars of current parents, the PTA raises funds to help TMA/TR meet the objectives of the school year and invest in beautification, environment enhancement, technology implementations, and more.
